How Can I Become Rich?

During an interview with Bill Gates at the time he was still the richest person in the world according to Forbes, the interviewer asked him a very daring question:
“ What is the secret to your success?”

Bill Gates gave her a cheque from the cheque book he had on him and implored her to write down any amount she wanted, and it will be hers. Her reply immediately he offered her the check was:
“I did not mean this sir”, then she went on to ask the same question in a different way.

Bill Gates also gave her the same answer by handing her the cheque she previously refused to collect. Again, she still declined. At this, Bill Gates tore the cheque into shreds and said to her:

“The secret of my success is that I do not miss any opportunities like you just did. If you had that philosophy, you could have become the richest journalist in the world today.”

This incident teaches us an important lesson about opportunities. Never ever miss a good opportunity when presented with one. Whenever an opportunity is presented to you, grab it with open hands. Some other key lessons to learn from this incident about becoming rich include:

Always have a good understanding of your purpose.

•Be ready at all times because luck is simply opportunity meets preparedness.

Don’t just sit there, reach for your opportunity. In other words, if you want to be a businessman, get off your bedroom and start looking for business opportunities.
If you don’t know any business opportunity and can’t seek the help of anyone else around you, ask Google.

This may not be what you were hoping to see when you opened this page, but this is sure to get your mind thinking from a different perspective as explained by the world’s richest man.
