How Tithing Can Attract Prosperity

Jehovah seeks to build an end-time temple, a sanctuary that is not man-made.  For this to be realised, an army comprising specially dedicated saints is needed, else this vision cannot be fulfilled.  The understanding of this truth will only come to you after deep study and meditation of the word of God.  The task of building this everlasting end time sanctuary will only be given to believers who have shown themselves approved in several areas such as financial prudence, Resources Management and most important of all faithfulness to obligations and tasks.

We can see this when Josiah the king of Judah, sent workers to work on the renovation of the temple – these set if people git the opportunity because of the proven experience and track record. These artists had done their work faithfully and diligently, but the Bible showed that that ultimate quality the king looked at was their adherence to prudent financial transactions.

And let them deliver it into the hand of the doers of the work . . . to repair the breaches of the house, Unto carpenters, and builders, and masons, and to buy timber and hewn stone to repair the house.

Howbeit there was no reckoning made with them of the money that was delivered into their hand because they dealt faithfully.

2 Kings 22:5-7

God did not select these men for the job because they promised to be faithful.  He chose them because they had already shown that they were faithful.  When the time came for King Josiah to decide who would work to restore the great temple, God asked the king to choose these men because he had shown himself to be faithful to his finances.  God uses faithful people who can manage their finances, and giving a tenth of what you get to the house of God is part of that faith. Yes, tithing is a part of it.

A lot of  people say, “If I have a large sum of money (such as an inheritance, a lottery ticket, or a lucky break from a rich and fast program), I will be faithful in my tithing attitude to God.”

This is not the way of God!  God first requires us to be faithful in small things, in the midst of our current circumstances.  Then He will give us plenty.  It was true in the Old and New Testaments, and it is true today.

Read in the parable of the talents what the governor said to his faithful servant.

His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Matthew 25:23

Remember Jesus teaching to his disciple on the subject of faithfulness.

He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

Luke 16:10

If your desire is to be among the selected chosen for God’s massive projects and His next big opportunity, then cultivate the habit of putting your finances in order, not just temporarily but on the long run.

What is Offering?

You may already know that an offering is different from the 10th.  Tithing clearly represents 10% of the income you earn, an amount set by God.  You owe him a non-negotiable obligation.

An offering is something else.  An offering is not a fixed amount.  It is completely discreet on our part, a sum that we give freely to God.  The amount of our offering determines the measure, or percentage, by which God will bless us and increase our substance.

…For with the same measure that ye mete withal, it shall be measured to you again.

Luke 6:38

An offering is what you give after paying your tithe. Tithing does not show you are generous in the sight of God, paying your tithe only shows you are obedience and honest.

It shows you have paid to God what you owe him.  However, when you hear the voice of God leading you to give beyond your tithes, it is an offering.  It is a voluntary gift of love for your God.

You can offer to help fund your local church, missionary, or any Christian outreach.  Many ministries in the Kingdom of God survive only through the voluntary offerings of God’s prosperous people.  In many cases, the offering is the way God meets their needs.

Remember that your tithe only opens the windows of heaven.  God begins to spread his blessings when you make generous offerings.  Your offerings determine the measure that God will use to give you back.  By the virtue of your tithes and offerings, you will move to a new dynamic kingdom, working with God, serving the needs of a wounded and destitute world.

And they went forth, and preached everywhere every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
