According to reports from “Kano Focus”, 22yrs old  Yahaya Aminu Sharif has been found guilty of blasphemy against prophet Muhammad, a revered figure in Islam.

An Upper Shari’a Court that sat at Hausawa Filin Hockey in Kano today 10/08/2020, sentenced Yahaya to death for blaspheming against prophet Muhammad.
This was after he was found guilty as charged by the Sharia Court judges who sat on the matter.

The accusations came after Mr Yahaya released a song and circulated it on WhatsApp. It was also reported that his family barely escaped being lynched after the accusation that led to him being arrested and charged before the Shari’a court. Yahaya’s family home was also destroyed by a ravaging crowd for the alleged offence then.
