It’s not a surprising fact that everyone has some belly fat. Yes! Everyone does, including people with flat stomach abs. Are you wondering why? Well, it is absolutely normal. Fat storage in the body is largely a combination of different things which include gender, age and genetic inheritance. Men are likely to store fat around their stomach (apple shape), whereas women store fat around the pelvic region, hips, butt and thighs (pear shape).

Stress and Stomach Fat.

Various Health researchers have shown that abdominal fat can develop as a result of stress. This is so because the hormone cortisol is released during stress, and a high level of cortisol in the body appears to stimulate the storage of fat around the belly and abdomen. At Yale University, 60 women were placed under study and it was found out that the more stress they were under, the more fat they stored around their middle region.

Therefore, belly fat is most likely to develop in stressed men of any age, and older stressed women as well.

Preventing Belly Fat!

For those whose body system are already used to storing fat around the stomach, the healthiest solution is to maintain a normal weight.
You can do this by measuring up your calorie intake to your exact calorie needs. In doing this, you will stop the excess fat from accumulating.

How to Reduce Stomach Fats.

The best method in reducing belly fats is to follow a healthy weight loss diet, combined with fitness exercises such as aerobics (to burn extra calories) and a stomach-toning workout to help tighten and strengthen abdominal muscles.

Please know that reducing a fat stomach will gradually take some time mostly for those who are apple-shaped. This knowledge will help you become patient with both yourself and the entire diet and exercise process.
