Internet: See The Difference Between The Darkweb, Darknet, Deep Web And Surface Web

After reading this simple explanations, you will finally get to note the major differences between this confusing terms. Well, this is in case you didn’t know them already.

• DARKNET

In summary, Darknet is a close circuit system which grants access to users who follow a specific protocol on the internet.

Most internet protocols on the Darknet can be accessed through the Tor Browser, Freenet and I2P.

 DEEP WEB

The deep web is the part of the internet that you cannot access through search engines like Google, Bing, etc. 

In a nutshell, they’re the part of the web locked behind pay walls and passwords. However, it is not limited to just fee based service providers. Confidential corporate web pages and Medical records are also part of the deep web.

• DARK WEB

This is part of the deep web. Access requires special authorization and recommended softwares.

According to Wikipedia – 

“The dark web is the World Wide Web content that exists on darknets”.

Simply put, dark web comprises of all websites that usethe Darknet protocols.

• SURFACE WEB or CLEARNET

This is part of the internet that is publicly accessible to all. This part of the web can be indexed on search engine searches, i.e, can be gotten through a simple query.
