Once Lilith was involved, the Elders of Heaven had no option than to implore all the heavenly host and higher Dominion angels to intercede on their behalf and plead with her to be the counsel in the case filed by the People of Earth against God. All efforts to get the Queen of Heaven to take the case proved abortive. They also couldn’t use the People of Earth to intercede on their behalf because the 12 Elder Gods appointed by Chukwu has forbidden any influence on humans during the pendency of the case before Chukwu’s Court.
When Santa Larita heard about the predicament of the Elders of Heaven, he offered to help. Before his ascension to heaven, he was a witness to a savory act carried out by men who swore in the name of Lilith before sexually violating a Laritan Convent. He provided a video clip he hid as evidence, citing that they chose to hide the event from the public to avoid creating panic and putting the Laritan Convent to more psychological torture. The Elders of Heaven thanked him for his bravery and elevated him to the Shepherd of the Violated. With the knowledge, the Elders approached the Queen of Heaven again and pleaded with her to reconsider her stance. She told them she is yet to forgive God for allowing humans kill her only child.
“Despite all my efforts to get God to not allow my son killed for nothing, God didn’t listen to me. Today, all the things my son preached against endlessly and paid for with his life have been relegated to the background among them. Humans will always be humans. See, now they are also suing their God in Chukwu’s Court. Next, they will start blaming me for allowing their daughters fall into the hands of sexually depraved rapists.” The Elders reminded her that God has His reasons, and that His ways are not our ways.
The main reason they actually wanted her to take up the case was because of her personal beef with Lilith two billion years ago. According to the Elder Scrolls of Anger Records, the Queen of Heaven have only ever been angry twice – one is at Lilith and the other one is at God for allowing humans kill her only son. After all efforts to persuade her failed and the Elders were at their wits end, they inquired to know who she believes will be their best bet against Lilith.
“No one” the Queen of Heaven replied them. “What of Lucy’s former girlfriend?” another Elder asked her.
“Good luck with her” the Queen of Heaven answered before taking her leave, leaving the Elders more confused with the choice of the lead counsel for God. As a rule, defendants cannot be a counsel in their own case before Chukwu’s Court.
