Following the arrest of his brother by the Federal Government, Emmanuel Kanu has called on the British High Commission in Nigeria to facilitate his brother’s release. According to Nnamdi Kanu’s brother, his arrest and extradition to Nigeria contravened International Laws.
The Federal Government earlier revealed they have arrested the Leader of the IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu. Subsequently, they brought him before a Federal High Court. The sitting Judge granted the application for the IPOB leader to be remanded in custody till July 26th, 2021 for continuation of his trial.
Reacting to the news of his brother’s arrest, Emmanuel beckoned on the British High Commission to insist on the immediate release of his brother. He said –
“The British High Commission in Nigeria must insist upon my brother’s immediate release. They must guarantee his safety and security.”
Speaking further, he restated that the UK Government must ensure that justice is done.
He further revealed that his brother was brother was arrested in “Kenya”, an East African country.
Many hypothesis about the location of the place where the arrest took place has continued to come up. Most of them point to Africa.
