Here are the 5 Types of Supporters You Will Meet in a Nigerian Football Viewing Center
1] The Passionate Fan
They are the first to arrive. They admire their team with passion and will likely buy jerseys in solidarity. They will also wear the jersey when going to watch them play.
When the game starts, they show support to the players from the TV screen, screaming at their favorites for wasting scoring opportunities while applauding those that well. They celebrate goals more; it can be loud and rowdy sometimes.
2] The Pundit/Analyst
They are Ray Hudson’s of the arena. The pundits will analyze, scrutinize and tell you the best angles a player should have shot from. They can redefine everything you understand about footballers with their “on the spot” analysis and comprehension of strategies. Put literally, they will educate you. But, you will rarely see them talk until someone tries to claim what they don’t know.
3] The Gambler
Whether Man U and Chelsea are playing goalless is not really their concern. The major problem at all time is the bet numbers on their slip. Immediately the starting whistle is blown, its straight to live scores and constant refresh buttons on the pages.
For this individual, a 1 – 1 draw between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona is good for him as long as he played BTTS [ Both Team To Score] and Over 1.5G.
4] F.O.C People
The “free of charge” people are the ones that love to watch for free. Some of them can be funny, showing up at moments that make it hard for the owner to charge them viewing fees.
In some places where there are openings from the sides, they don’t mind peeping from the holes or standing to watch.
5] The Neutrals
They stay neutral and don’t bother supporting any outfit. They may be heartbroken fans, new soccer converts or probably accompanied a friend to the place.
6] The Talkative
They are the most annoying of the bunch. It’s a surprise they do pay to watch and then end up talking all the time. The talkative argues a lot; they never waste time in calling for a bet if your doubt them anyway.
They like attention and will casually make comments to elicit laughter or throw a taunt to another viewer with the main aim of starting a conversation.
