Deadly Shootout involving Florida Policemen and Wilder Captured on Dashcam (Video)

Two Florida deputies were making a routine check on a vehicle after asking two of the passengers to step out.

While talking with two of them outside the vehicle, a deputy was seen approaching the vehicle they came out from which apparently still has an occupant inside.

However, all hell broke loose when the occupant hurriedly opened the passengers door with an assault rifle and opened fire on the two police deputies who docked for their life and used their vehicle to dodge some bullets.

However, they didn’t realize when the assailant sneaked up on them from behind. His attempt to shoot was hindered after his gun jammed and so he used the butt of the gun to smash one of the deputies on the head.

Meanwhile, the other deputy was quick enough to launch a counterattack and subdued the rabid criminal with multiple gunshots to make sure he stays dead for good.

The incident happened at the Brevard County in West Melbourne, Fla. Investigators stated that more than 61 bullets were fired in less than a minute during the fracas.

The suspect was later identified as Paris Wilder, 38, of Cocoa, Fla. The Police describes Wilder as a “career offender whose record includes 40 arrests for charges that included armed robbery, aggravated assault, drug offenses, battery of a law enforcement officer and attempted first degree felony murder. He was out on bond for two felony drug charges and had two active felony warrants at the time of the shootout with deputies.”

Speaking further on the incident, Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey said –

“I’m just extremely thankful that our deputies are safe and the suspect is no longer on this planet where he could put someone else’s life in peril,”

“Let there be no doubt: This individual got exactly what he deserved,” Ivey said.

“And to those out there who might be foolish enough to ask why we shot him so many times, that answer is simple: Because evil can never be dead enough.”

The injured policeman, Deputy Brian Potters is currently recovering from gunshot injury
in the lower leg as well as from fractured skull.
