According to a recent report, FC Barcelona is set to progress with the renovation of the club’s iconic stadium in 2022. This was revealed by club President,
Joan Laporta in a chat with a Catalan radio station today.
The planned renovation will affect the club’s men’s team who will be forced to vacate the ground to allow further improvements in the stadium. It is also believed that the seats will be upgraded to 110,000 capacity which will ultimately help it retain it’s glorious standing in world football.

Although the plans for the renovation were set in motion since 2016, it is not yet clear where the team will be playing their matches for the 2022/2023 season. But, the management is considering the Johan Cruyff stadium as the best alternative at the moment.
Other grounds like the Montjuic Stadium in the city is also another possible option.
