Spiderman 3 Crosses $1B at Box Office a Week After Release, Battle at Lake Changjin Rakes $900m+

Marvel Comics and Disney owned Marvel Cinematic Universe latest debut, Spiderman: No Way Home has broken all box office release records this year after crossing the one billion dollar mark over the weekend.

The Covid-19 has hampered cinema going culture this year after the devastating effects the disease wreaked all over the world in 2020. The year 2021 has seen the release of various blockbusters like Wonder Woman 84, No Time to Die, F9: The Fast Saga, Godzilla v Kong, Venom: Let there be Carnage, Dune, Eternals, Black Widow, Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and so many other great movies.

However, of all the big hits released this year, it’s “The Battle at Lake Changjin” that came close to hitting the billion dollar mark, grossing $902,538,455 as at the time of this report.

But, apparently your favourite neighborhood friend is immune to the Covid-19 instigated low patronage at the cinemas. The third installment in the Tom Holland led Spiderman franchise apparently didn’t disappoint just like the previous parts, defiling the disease to break the one billion dollar mark barely one week after its initial release on December 16, 2021.

As at the time of writing this report, Spiderman: No Way Home has a total worldwide gross of $1,054,431,855. There are estimations the christmas flick may cross the $1.2billion mark before the end of its run at the Cinemas.

Spiderman had met Dr. Strange to alter the timeline for him after he revealed his identity to the world and didn’t love what came next. After the doctor accepted to perform the magic, things went south while the process was going on and unleashed several timelines and unwanted visitors.

Also, you will be delighted to know that Tobey Maguire’s Spiderman, Andrew Garfield’s Spiderman, Dr. Octopus and a host of other spidie villains all made appearances in this star-studded cast ensemble; Avenger style.

The word on the street is that Spiderman: No Way Home is the best movie of the year.
