Nigerian Senate Approve Local Government Autonomy Law

The Nigerian Senate in a session at the nation’s legislative chamber on Tuesday, passed the Law which grants full autonomy to local government and council areas accross the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria.

The Bill was passed by a ninety-two reps and senators
who voted overwhelmingly in support of the passage. This was approved after a clause-by-clause consideration by the committee in charge.
