Saturday Morning Reflections

Sometimes one is left wondering the aspects of social living beyond our control. I know, everyone probably slides into the disorientation once in a while.

It can be a little overwhelming sometimes. When you take a look at the world, observing all the injustice and knowing very well there is little to nothing you can do about it, things get daunting real fast.

It’s worse when you realize that the people who could actually do something about them couldn’t care less because their priorities are a little bit different than yours. You realize sooner enough that it’s an endless cycle of interests and personal satisfaction.

The funny thing is that individually, there is nothing you can really do about it. The more funnier aspect is that getting other people to see your point is mostly  all about what they stand to gain. So, ab initio, there is no illusion as to what to expect from others.

Therefore, except you have what they’re willing to accept as aligning with their preconceived interests and desires, they will be the ones ensuring your own desires and personal needs are meaningless because only their interests are meaningful. This is the world we live in, and not making peace with this will surely continue to cause more disorientation.
