As the Ukrainian crisis continue to heat up the polity in Europe and their US NATO allies, the world’s richest man, Elon Musk has stated that he won’t be blocking Russian news channels through Starlink.
While making his stance on the freedom of speech, the billionaire tech lord stated that –
“Starlink has been told by some governments (not Ukraine) to block Russian news sources. We will not do so unless at gunpoint.” Continuing, he said,
“Sorry to be a free speech absolutist.”

This comes amid myriad of media sanctions flying off like missiles in both EU and USA, with Russia’s TV channels and other media outlets specifically targeted by USA and Britain.
Earlier, Russia has also amplified it’s sanctions of Western media outlets like Facebook, Twitter, BBC and others, stating that they were being used to propagate false narratives about its armed forces.
