10. Tekno – Mufasa

Asake goes one better with his Sungba fusion laced with his diatribe lyrics prowess.

Of course, we couldn’t let his works pass us by without including the Yoruba up beat track to this exclusive list.

8. Burna Boy – Firewood

7. Peruzzi – Ready

6. Ricmasha – Baby Jowo

Fast Rising Nigerian singer & songwriter Ricmasha sets off 2022 with the release of this lovely masterpiece titled Baby Jowo after a long spell off music.

“BABY JOWO” is the first single off his project BOOK OF COVERS coming out soon.

5. Reminisce Ft. Buju, D Smoke – Hustle

4. Basketmouth – Assembly Of Gods

Basketmouth makes the list, featuring as the best AAP song of February with his “Horoscopes” album.

Although the album did pack so many credits and features from Nigeria’s top musical talents, it’s diversity may not have gotten enough audience and accolades as the album truly deserves.

Assembly of Gods is a fused lyrical up beat rap song, brought down and made into a highlife reel as it merged with hip-hop and afro highlife to deliver a great relaxing song.

3. Simi – Sáré

2. Olamide  – Hate Me Ft. Wande Coal

1. Rema – Calm Down

The number 1 spot for our exclusive Alternative AfroMusic Playlist goes to Mavin records pop sensation, Rema.

The “Commando” crooner once again set tongues wagging with his smashing viral hit, ‘calm down’.
