Sevilla were put to the sword at the Nou Camp by a resurgent Barca side that blitzed past the Andalusian club, dethroning them from second position in the league.
After Pedri’s golazo ensured the game went Barca’s way, Rakitic returned to the field after the final whistles to thank his fans specially.
During the Croatian stars stay at Camp Nou, Rakitic made 310 appearances for Barcelona across all competitions, contributing 35 goals and 42 assists in in same period.
He also won four (4) La Liga titles, four (4) Copa del Rey, two (2) Supercopa de Espana, one (1) Champions League, one (1) European Super Cup and one (1) Club World Cup while with the Catalan giants.
After the game, the 34yrs old veteran midfielder came back to the field and gifted his shirt to fans in the crowd while hugging others.
After that, he removed his shorts too and gifted to them before running across field wearing only his pants.
This wouldn’t be the first time the Sevilla captain undressed himself after a match. He once undressed after the Semi-final knockout of England in FIFA World Cup 2018 and hugged Southgate, England’s current coach.
