• Cadiz FC humble Catalans at Nou Camp

Barca were once again defeated in front of their home fans in just as many days after shooting blanks in the La Liga match against middle club, Cadiz FC.

Although FC Barcelona unarguably controlled proceedings from start to finish, but it didn’t count for anything because the goal from Lucas Perez in the 48th minute mark was enough to gift the visitors all three points at Nou Camp.

The defeat means Barca’s 15 games unbeaten run in the league has come to an end. It is also Xavi Hernandez second defeat in as many matches, signaling a drop off in team performance or player burn out.

The loss may also make it impossible now to catch up with Real Madrid at the top, although Barca is still pretty much in the second position, but tied at same points with Atletico Madrid.

Apparently, after being relieved of his duty, former Barca CEO, Reverter reportedly tried to sabotage the Espai Barca project by advising Goldman Sachs against proceeding with its ongoing loan deal with the Catalan giant.

However, according to a report from BU, the €1.5 billion loan with the financial behemoth will go on as envisioned to realize the Barca Espai project, among other key club commitments.

• Fans furious at Laporta for Nou Camp Debacle

Fans has taken their time to express their dismay over what happened in the game against Frankfurt Eintracht in the Europa League.

Apparently, about 30,000 fans from the visitors got tickets by taking advantage of unimpressed Barca fans who wanted to sell theirs. This allowed the German side to turn Nou Camp into a war ground, as if the match is a final.

Well, it surely looked like one to them and they did all they could to cheer and motivate their players, resulting in Barca getting dumped out of the Europa League competition at home.

• Pedri Injured

One of the bad take aways from the defeat against Frankfurt Eintracht will be the injury sustained by Pedri in the match. From the club’s official website, it looks like Pedri is done for this season.

This has proved to be a devastating blow for the Catalans. The game against Cadiz FC showed how much the team really needed the Spaniard, especially in the middle of the park where he is most instrumental.
