When it comes to expressing his generosity, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is no stranger. His latest gift is one that brought tears to his mother’s eyes.
Dwayne Johnson, 50, who is billed to star as the titular “Black Adam” from DC Comics surprised his mum Ata Johnson, 73, with a new home, and shared her tearful reaction to Instagram.
“Love you mom and surprise!” Johnson wrote alongside the video he shared to millions of his followers. The video shows his mum standing outside the house and walking through the front door as Israel Kamakawiwo’ole’s “Over the Rainbow’ is heard over the airwaves.
“When I was a little boy, I hated when my mom would cry ~ these days, I’ll happily take her tears of joy,” Johnson’s caption continued.
Johnson says it took him and his crew 8wks to design and build his mother’s new home and when she walked through the front door for the first time, everything she saw was brand new.
“I’ve been lucky enough to have bought her a few homes over the years, but this one is special as she’s told me over and over these past few years, ‘After a lifetime of travelling, I want this home to be my last. That’s my dream,'” Johnson explained.
“Mom, there’s no greater feeling than to make you happy ~ welcome home ❤️ I always say, if you got a good mom then you got a shot at becoming a good, caring human being. Let’s all give our mamas a big grateful squeeze this weekend and make ’em happy.”
Lastly, Johnson ‘The Rock’ shared a video of his mother walking into her new “Smackdown Room.”
“In her homes she always has her ‘Smackdown Room’ where she keeps the coolest Rock/DJ memorabilia but over the years they’ve become insanely crowded – so for her new home, I had these cool built ins made and just added only a few memorabilia items – Posters, University of Miami game balls, movie awards, championship titles etc. Figured she can add whatever she wants from here,” he stated.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s Black Adam much anticipated trailer is scheduled to drop tomorrow after series of delays. The movie itself titled “Black Adam” will debut in cinemas on 21st October 2022.
