Lewandowski wins Man of the Match as Barca cruise to victory

FC Barcelona returned to winning ways away from home after the goalless draw at Spotify Nou Camp against Rayo Vallecano.

Robert Lewandowski had failed to open his goal account in front of home crowd last week against Rayo Vallecano. However, that was not to continue this time around because the Polish international got things going in the first minute of the 1st half after a sublime finish from a Balde assist.

Although Real Sociedad and FC Barcelona threatened to bite with numerous failed shots at goal, it was Isak who equalised for the hosts in the 6th minute to send the home crowd into mighty uproar just minutes after Barca took the lead.

The introduction of Ansu Fati in the second half changed the game for the Catalan side. Soon after Ferran Torres substitution in the game for him, the younglad quickly immersed himself into the game.

Ansu Fati would quickly find himself in an attacking position before squaring the ball for Ousmane Dembele to give Barca the lead in the 66th minute.

Soon afterwards, Lewandowski added another in the 68th minute hour mark before A. Fati completed the comeback with a swift finish from a Lewandowski sublime assist.  Ansu Fati played for 26mins and got two assists and one goal.

Speaking after the game, Pedri said of the former Bayern Munich star, “Lewandowski looks like he’s 20, not 34. It’s spectacular how he works and the goals he scores.”

The Catalan giants will be hoping their latest striking arsenal stays fit and maintains a strong scoring stint to help them push for trophies this season.
